Brittany Kovler

Brittany Kovler (500RYT, RPYT) views the practice of yoga as an art form, a science and a lifestyle that starts on your yoga mat and then translates over into your every day life. Brittany's personal yoga practice began many moons ago when she was a competitive dancer. Naturally, dance and yoga compliment one another beautifully, especially the fluid gracefulness of Vinyasa yoga. Fast forward to post-college life, living in Los Angeles, her love of yoga deepened when she took her first teacher training. Becoming a yoga teacher was part of an intention to stay grounded and centered among the crazy Los Angeles atmosphere and the aggressive entertainment industry.

As a yoga teacher, Brittany believes that yoga is not just a practice of attaining idealized postures, burning calories and scoring a sexy chiseled body, but a process of self-exploration and transformation, self-acceptance and self-LOVE. This process occurs step by step, within each breath, each asana and each transition. This process extends across all the yoga practices you do in your lifetime and it's never-ending.

Brittany's class sequences vary from simple to creative to challenging. She designs classes that use progressive sequencing to help guide students to the poses easier and in a way that makes sense relating to our biomechanics. Whether she is teaching a dynamic vinyasa flow class or more of an alignment/form based class, Brittany and her students approach the material with thoughtful and conscious choices connected to the smooth, deep breathing that positively affects the yoking of the mind and the body.

Brittany is a 500RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) and RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) with the Yoga Alliance, as well as a certified holistic health coach and nutrition counselor. She earned a BA at University of Southern California in Acting with a minor in Vocal Arts. Brittany continues to train and study with her teacher Noah Maze and all of his associates at Wanderlust Studio in Hollywood, CA. in order to keep learning and growing as a teacher and a student.

Lisa Ponczek

"You have Cancer" are the three words nobody ever wants to hear but those are the words that brought Lisa to a consistent yoga practice and eventually to her love of holding space for others as an RYT 500 yoga instructor. Lisa is a testament to the power of using the mind, body and breath to find inner strength and a sense of calm even through life's toughest challenges. After being diagnosed with a chronic leukemia in 2012, she began consistently connecting with her mat and soon after began her journey towards becoming a 500 hour RYT. Lisa's passion for yoga and commitment to her students only kept growing as she dealt with ongoing testing, procedures and treatments. Yoga is not only her refuge, her place of serenity and stillness, she finds it to be a practice of empowerment and hope within a safe and nurturing environment. Lisa's classes create just that, a sense of peace and tranquility within an empowering and non judgmental practice while providing opportunities for learning and growth. Lisa has also been certified in Yoga 4 Cancer with Tari Prinster. She teaches a variety of classes including vinyasa, yin, hatha, Y4C, meditation and Stand Up Paddle Board yoga. She also created and leads Yoga Beats workshops; a fun and uplifting class combining her love of yoga, dance and popular music while teaching choreographed sequences. Students become part of the rhythm of the music, essentially creating a meditation in movement all while having a blast! Lisa is also a Certified Holistic Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She looks forward to seeing you on the mat!

Matthew Gaines

Matthew Gaines has been practicing yoga since 1996. He has been teaching as a certified yoga instructor since 2004. Matthew is passionate about Traditional, Classic Yoga and the eight limb path for its originally intended purpose of helping people to heal and wake up to their potential, and recognize our oneness when consciousness has been corrected and healed through discipline action, focus, concentration and self awareness. It is his intention to share Yoga in its essence so that people can live in the responsibility of being in peace and harmony with each other and all of life, as that starts with loving ourselves, and Yoga is a wonderful tool to help bring us into that living experience.

Adriana Lee

Adriana was first introduced to yoga at the age of nine, then again at 13, and again and again until finally the practice stuck with her like glue. Yoga taught her to see past the delusions and illusions of this life. It showed her the sweetness hidden beneath the gears of the daily grind. At 23, Adriana packed her bags and went to Spain for her 200 Hour RYT in Vinyasa Yoga at Frog Lotus Yoga's center Suryalila. She returned to her hometown Las Vegas, NV and studied an additional 50 hours of Forrest yoga under Heba Saab of HIBS Yoga. She continued her training with Heba by assisting and acting as a mentor to her 200 Hour trainees. Truly, she keeps learning every time she steps on to the mat. Her intention when she teaches is to share what she's learned about the magic of movement, and the bliss of being.

Amy Appel

Amy is a former elementary school teacher who graduated from NYU with a BS in education.
She has been practicing yoga for over twelve years. She decided to take her passion and train
to share her love of yoga with others. She is known for her compassionate teaching and
attention to detail. She is eager to help her students learn and work to their fullest potential.
Amy is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher who trained through Yoga Journey in Boca Raton, Florida.
She is on the faculty to train students to become yoga teachers.
Amy has a way of keeping it real and fun while maintaining the integrity of the yoga practice.
She blends the physical and the spiritual, sharing that we can take these lessons with us off the
mat. She often works privately with her students for one on one instruction.
Amy practices with a variety of teachers, attends workshops and travels to keep her ideas fresh.
She is happily married, living in Parkland and the proud mother of four wonderful children.

Maxine Schwartz

Maxine Schwartz, manager and co-owner, is thrilled to bring the Evolution Yoga brand to her hometown of Parkland/Coconut Creek. Maxine, a 19-year practitioner, is certified by the renowned Jimmy Barkan in hot yoga and Vinyasa levels I, II, III.

Always active and on the go, Maxine discovered yoga while training for her first NYC Marathon. While training, she incorporated hot yoga and found that it perfectly complemented her training. Yoga assisted in the avoidance of injury and calmed her during challenging moments in her training. She was determined to share the benefits of yoga and became a certified teacher in 2003.

Passionate about all aspects of yoga, Maxine has developed a large student base in South Florida. Her creative yoga classes continue to help students to create physical, mental and spiritual harmony in their lives.

Vikky Santana

Vikky Santana, 500-hour RYT, was born and raised in Miami, Fl. and lives with her daughter in Coral Springs, FL. She was introduced to yoga 20 years ago but it wasn’t until the birth of her daughter 13 years ago that she really saw her life’s purpose. “Yoga literally saved my life. I am compelled to teach all aspects of the practice in the hopes of helping others help themselves.”

In 2010 she completed her first 200hr RYT certification and soon after her 100hr Philosophy certification at Philip Christodoulou's Anuttara Yoga Shala. She continued her education with BEa Raydo at Yoga Connection earning her 300hr RYT.

She’s taken her wisdom and created Kriya Yin Yoga a systematic yogic practice done on the floor with the primary purpose of deepening your awareness of body, mind and spirit. It’s meditation, breath work and yin to calm the mind and feed the soul.

Her flow classes are challenging, funny and insightful. Vikky’s philosophy about yoga is, “The mat is our “life nursery.” On the mat we learn the skills needed to flow with equanimity off the mat.” She teaches off the mat and provides verbal and hands-on assists to help you with your practice. The music is contemporary and upbeat. Known as the #hugthug, don’t be surprised if she hugs you tight.

Vinyasa or often referred to as flow yoga is unique in the smooth way that the poses run together and become like a dance. Each movement is linked to either an inhale or an exhale. This class is great for all levels.
