As a yoga teacher, Brittany believes that yoga is not just a practice of attaining idealized postures, burning calories and scoring a sexy chiseled body, but a process of self-exploration and transformation, self-acceptance and self-LOVE. This process occurs step by step, within each breath, each asana and each transition. This process extends across all the yoga practices you do in your lifetime and it's never-ending.
Brittany's class sequences vary from simple to creative to challenging. She designs classes that use progressive sequencing to help guide students to the poses easier and in a way that makes sense relating to our biomechanics. Whether she is teaching a dynamic vinyasa flow class or more of an alignment/form based class, Brittany and her students approach the material with thoughtful and conscious choices connected to the smooth, deep breathing that positively affects the yoking of the mind and the body.
Brittany is a 500RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) and RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) with the Yoga Alliance, as well as a certified holistic health coach and nutrition counselor. She earned a BA at University of Southern California in Acting with a minor in Vocal Arts. Brittany continues to train and study with her teacher Noah Maze and all of his associates at Wanderlust Studio in Hollywood, CA. in order to keep learning and growing as a teacher and a student.
Always active and on the go, Maxine discovered yoga while training for her first NYC Marathon. While training, she incorporated hot yoga and found that it perfectly complemented her training. Yoga assisted in the avoidance of injury and calmed her during challenging moments in her training. She was determined to share the benefits of yoga and became a certified teacher in 2003.
Passionate about all aspects of yoga, Maxine has developed a large student base in South Florida. Her creative yoga classes continue to help students to create physical, mental and spiritual harmony in their lives.
