Yin

This class is taught by:

Cortney Zdanowicz

Cortney has been practicing yoga since 2010 and obtained her 200 hr Yoga Alliance certification through American Yoga in Deerfield Beach. She is trained in classic Ashtanga Vinyasa style yoga, yet has adapted her own style to incorporate creativity & fitness into her sequences, making for fun and challenging classes. As a former dancer and gymnast, yoga was an inevitable transition as she evolved spiritually. Cortney truly believes that yoga is a mind, body and soul journey through which the best version of oneself can be found. She also believes that in order to truly awaken the soul, one must first quiet the mind. Focusing on prana (breath) and allowing intuition to serve as a guide, Cortney begins and ends each class with purpose and meaningful enlightenment, allowing her students an opportunity to look within themselves and grow spiritually.

Heather Berg

Heather Berg, E-RYT, is a former Montessori teacher who has been a yoga practitioner since 1990 where, as a college student, she took her first “Intro to Sun Salutations” at NYU. She practiced many yoga traditions over her 20 plus years, but it wasn’t until her yoga training with Leslie Glickman, where she was formally trained in Vinyasa Krama (intelligent sequencing designed with a specific intention) did she find her true calling.
Heather’s passion is to share her enthusiasm of yoga and to create a positive experience for her students. Her mission is to meet the needs of individuals as well as to teach at a deeper level beyond the postures.
Heather’s precisely cued invigorating Vinyasa classes focus on cultivating breath and body awareness while her Yin classes relax both the body and mind taking practitioners to a deeper level of sensitivity and stillness, both inside and out. Not only does Heather teach on land, but on a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) as well! The paddleboard takes the place of your mat, but since it’s an unstable foundation it will truly fire up your core! You will NO DOUBT need to work with more consciousness, honing your mindfullness skills.
She is always researching and exploring other respectable yoga teacher trainings and workshops so that she can continue her own growth to bring new concepts to her students. Some of the teachers Heather has studied with and is influenced by are Elena Brower, Seane Corn, Terri Cooper, Jason Crandell, Pam Leal, Terri Cooper, Kathryn Budig and Joe Barnett.
When asked what she loves about yoga, Heather says, “It’s the perfect opportunity to see who I really am. It brings me home.”
Heather lives in Boca Raton with her husband and two beautiful daughters.

Adriana Lee

Adriana was first introduced to yoga at the age of nine, then again at 13, and again and again until finally the practice stuck with her like glue. Yoga taught her to see past the delusions and illusions of this life. It showed her the sweetness hidden beneath the gears of the daily grind. At 23, Adriana packed her bags and went to Spain for her 200 Hour RYT in Vinyasa Yoga at Frog Lotus Yoga's center Suryalila. She returned to her hometown Las Vegas, NV and studied an additional 50 hours of Forrest yoga under Heba Saab of HIBS Yoga. She continued her training with Heba by assisting and acting as a mentor to her 200 Hour trainees. Truly, she keeps learning every time she steps on to the mat. Her intention when she teaches is to share what she's learned about the magic of movement, and the bliss of being.

Lauren Grygo

I am extraordinarily passionate about spreading the knowledge I possess of yoga on to others. I honestly believe if more people did yoga and meditation the world would be a kinder, gentler place. I am a 200 hour registered yoga teacher who looks forward to many more hours of training in my future. While teaching I will focus on alignment and breath. I also put a lot of emphasis on loving yourself, being kind to your body and honoring the space of YOUR practice. I am overwhelmed with gratitude to be teaching and honor my teachers who have lead me here. Namaste.

Vikky Santana

Vikky Santana, 500-hour RYT, was born and raised in Miami, Fl. and lives with her daughter in Coral Springs, FL. She was introduced to yoga 20 years ago but it wasn’t until the birth of her daughter 13 years ago that she really saw her life’s purpose. “Yoga literally saved my life. I am compelled to teach all aspects of the practice in the hopes of helping others help themselves.”

In 2010 she completed her first 200hr RYT certification and soon after her 100hr Philosophy certification at Philip Christodoulou's Anuttara Yoga Shala. She continued her education with BEa Raydo at Yoga Connection earning her 300hr RYT.

She’s taken her wisdom and created Kriya Yin Yoga a systematic yogic practice done on the floor with the primary purpose of deepening your awareness of body, mind and spirit. It’s meditation, breath work and yin to calm the mind and feed the soul.

Her flow classes are challenging, funny and insightful. Vikky’s philosophy about yoga is, “The mat is our “life nursery.” On the mat we learn the skills needed to flow with equanimity off the mat.” She teaches off the mat and provides verbal and hands-on assists to help you with your practice. The music is contemporary and upbeat. Known as the #hugthug, don’t be surprised if she hugs you tight.

Kristen Brush

After completing her 200 hour training at Anchorage Yoga in Alaska, Kristen left her desk job as an engineer to pursue the spreading and teaching of yoga. Although Delray Beach, FL is her hometown, she has recently moved back after living on the island of St.Thomas, where she taught vinyasa and paddle board yoga. Her intention is to provide students a platform for creating a meaningful mind-body connection through physical movement. With over seven years of personal practice, Kristen shares from a heart of devotion with the hope of allowing others to experience the transformative nature of committing to the practice. While teaching class, her engineering background translates into a meticulous focus on anatomy and hands-on adjustments. She believes that it is most important for yogis to get on their mat when tired, weak, and anxious; these are the moments when vulnerability allows yoga to the mold the spirit.

Brittany Kovler

Brittany Kovler (500RYT, RPYT) views the practice of yoga as an art form, a science and a lifestyle that starts on your yoga mat and then translates over into your every day life. Brittany's personal yoga practice began many moons ago when she was a competitive dancer. Naturally, dance and yoga compliment one another beautifully, especially the fluid gracefulness of Vinyasa yoga. Fast forward to post-college life, living in Los Angeles, her love of yoga deepened when she took her first teacher training. Becoming a yoga teacher was part of an intention to stay grounded and centered among the crazy Los Angeles atmosphere and the aggressive entertainment industry.

As a yoga teacher, Brittany believes that yoga is not just a practice of attaining idealized postures, burning calories and scoring a sexy chiseled body, but a process of self-exploration and transformation, self-acceptance and self-LOVE. This process occurs step by step, within each breath, each asana and each transition. This process extends across all the yoga practices you do in your lifetime and it's never-ending.

Brittany's class sequences vary from simple to creative to challenging. She designs classes that use progressive sequencing to help guide students to the poses easier and in a way that makes sense relating to our biomechanics. Whether she is teaching a dynamic vinyasa flow class or more of an alignment/form based class, Brittany and her students approach the material with thoughtful and conscious choices connected to the smooth, deep breathing that positively affects the yoking of the mind and the body.

Brittany is a 500RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) and RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) with the Yoga Alliance, as well as a certified holistic health coach and nutrition counselor. She earned a BA at University of Southern California in Acting with a minor in Vocal Arts. Brittany continues to train and study with her teacher Noah Maze and all of his associates at Wanderlust Studio in Hollywood, CA. in order to keep learning and growing as a teacher and a student.

In Yin Yoga, poses are held for several minutes at a time in order to the stretch the connective tissue around the joints. In the deep stretching class you can expect to lay back, relax, and de-stress.
