Upon moving to south Florida, Anthony knew it was time to commit to a new path and make his dream of teaching yoga a reality. Training with the well renowned Jimmy Barkan of The Barkan method, Anthony received his 200 hour Yoga Alliance certification. Four years later, he continues to cultivate a beginner’s mind and actively seeks out yogic knowledge and philosophies. Just recently finishing his second 200 hour training in an Iyengar based Vinyasa at Yoga Palm Beach , he credits his newest layers and teaching style to the phenomenal Karen Burnett.
His passion to help others find and define their personal journey through yoga is what motivates him to show up to each class open-hearted and fully present.
Always active and on the go, Maxine discovered yoga while training for her first NYC Marathon. While training, she incorporated hot yoga and found that it perfectly complemented her training. Yoga assisted in the avoidance of injury and calmed her during challenging moments in her training. She was determined to share the benefits of yoga and became a certified teacher in 2003.
Passionate about all aspects of yoga, Maxine has developed a large student base in South Florida. Her creative yoga classes continue to help students to create physical, mental and spiritual harmony in their lives.
In 2010 she completed her first 200hr RYT certification and soon after her 100hr Philosophy certification at Philip Christodoulou's Anuttara Yoga Shala. She continued her education with BEa Raydo at Yoga Connection earning her 300hr RYT.
She’s taken her wisdom and created KriYin Yoga a systematic yogic practice done on the floor with the primary purpose of deepening your awareness of body, mind and spirit. It’s meditation, breath work and yin to calm the mind and feed the soul.
Her flow classes are challenging, funny and insightful. Vikky’s philosophy about yoga is, “The mat is our “life nursery.” On the mat we learn the skills needed to flow with equanimity off the mat.” She teaches off the mat and provides verbal and hands-on assists to help you with your practice. The music is contemporary and upbeat. Known as the #hugthug, don’t be surprised if she hugs you tight.
While having dabbled in a variety of yoga classes over the past 10 years, her passion for yoga ignited when she stepped into a live vocal, candlelit Yin Yoga practice at a studio that offered childcare. Having been a stay-at-home mom for over 5 years, she was looking for something more, something she could call her own. The profound experience set her forth on a journey to not only deepen her physical practice, but explore the spiritual side she had not yet discovered. Through yoga, Kara-Jane has learned to live a more balanced life, taking the teachings learned in her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and Connection Coalition Trauma Informed Outreach Training on and off the mat. Her passion is to share the positive effects yoga has had upon her life in hopes of continuing this positive effect among others.
Having been a competitive dancer and cheerleader growing up, she incorporates high energy flows and up-beat music into her classes. You will also find slow, mindful movements that allow students to work inward and focus on their own personal journey. Kara-Jane welcomes all yogis, new and practiced alike, and hopes to bring the fun and healing aspects of yoga to all.
